NOTD: Easy Polka Dot Nail Tutorial & How to Give Yourself a Lasting Manicure :)

Alright guys First things First, Grab a clipper and take care of your cuticles! Trim those puppies up! Next you're going to file down and shape each nail, followed by a base coat.  Trimming your cuticles will give your nails a polished look, and apply a base coat to a shaped nail, will smooth over the nail bed preventing the polish from settling into any ridges.

So now you get to choose a nail polish! Oooo tough decision, but I chose China Glaze in the color Audrey (my favorite) & Essie polish in Rase Awareness. You want to choose colors that will stand off from one another when you apply the polka dots!

So I love Polka dots, and even went to Sally's Beauty supply to buy one of those fancy shmansie Dot tool things :p But when I got there I realized it was like $6 for the darn thing. Being a cheapo, I decided my coffee money was more important, and I needed to find a way to make my own dots. Thus, I figured out a way to use a bobby pin and get the exact same effect! All you have to do is find a bobby pin (come on you know you have one on the floor of your car, or behind the toilet in your bathroom) WHAM! You just saved $6, mind blown. Take the nail polish of choice and take the brush out, drop a dot of it onto a scrap piece of thick paper. Then take one of the little bobby pin rubber tops and dip it in the polish, this is how you will make your pattern. First I applied my base color (the pink) then used the blue polish for the polka dots.
This is my left hand finished (always better than my right :O)
Here is the look of my right hand. I like to alternate nail colors, so one hand is pink with blue polka dots, and the other blue nails with pink polka dots. You guys can do what ya' like, I just thought this looked super spiffy.

Once both hands are finished completely drying,  I will apply a top coat in order to seal the paint in. After that, apply ANOTHER top coat. This is key for a lasting manicure, because it will prevent chipping. I then apply this drying spray over my nails, it will seal in the top coat quickly and this particular kind actually smells like cabbage patch dolls (baby powder) which is amazing. Lastly I take this eld nourishing cuticle oil pen, which was like a dollar, and go around my nails it keep the skin soft and smooth.

Finishing Touches: You guys can always go in and take a little love out on yourself (sounds dirty) and grab some lotion and give yourself a hand massage. Just like the ladies do at the nail salon. On a funny note, it always seems the second I finish my nails, my mom calls me because she wants me to help her with something, or I have to pee! I always do this and end up smudging a nail...I mean aint' nobody got time to fix dat' !

-I got the two nail polishes from Sally's Beauty Supply $6 each
-I got my base coat from CVS $4
-I got the Insta Dry crap from The Christmas Tree Shop $1
-I purchased the Elf Nourishing oil pen from eyeslipsface.com for $1
-Cuticle clippers and file were from Five Below $2
-The bobby pin was FO FREE

Game of Thrones-HBO Series

Game of Thrones- My favorite show ever

Here is a trailer of the amazing show! Seriously you will get sucked in to it!

For three seasons now, I have been totally hooked on this show! From dragons, sword fighting, and family drama this show is never dull! Long story short, this series is based off of books by George R. R. Martin. Basically, it is about a bunch of different groups all fighting for the kingdom and the crown. The characters of the show vary from a smart witted dwarf to a bastard fighting to defend his people from the "white walkers" Creepy zombie dudes, from beyond "the wall". Every episode grabs your attention and does not let it go. The show is gruesome, sexual, and drama filled to say the least, but now of days, that's what makes a good series! The show is mis matched with famous actors and actresses and no-bodies, but the actual acting talent is very powerful in this profound tale. My boyfriend and I find ourselves ever Sunday @ 9 o'clock going to HBO almost shaking from being so excited to see the next episode! Even during the week, this show is all we are able to talk about and look forward to! Game of thrones is definitely going to be a very popular show, for as far as entertainment and quality of screen play, this show is un matched.

Hair Styles I Need to Master:

Here some hairstyles I need to try, since my hair has been quite boring lately!

The mermaid braid...I don't think I have enough
hair for this, but it is so medieval and intricate!

The high Pony Tail, This is such an adorable look for when my hair is kind of gross or flat!

The high bun or top knot, super easy look, but
with hairspray I could make it look very clean.

Braided bangs, this is very boho chic!
Love all these styles! I cannot wait to try some of these out, wish me luck! For all I know, I could end up in one knotted hair mess looking worse than I did before! lmao

Here is a woman who is amazing on Youtube at hair tutorials and styles, check her out!

Stuff I Have For Real Been Loving:

Elf Eyeshadow Blending Brush- Love this little brush, its cheap and great for applying general eyeshadow!

You can buy it at: eyeslipsface.com
This is a Sonia Kashuk Brush, Number 04, it is a synthetic flat top brush, but I have been loving using it for my foundation, the brush is super soft and comfortable in my hand when using it!

I bought mine at Target
These are L.A Color Eyeshadow sticks, I have mine in the white, bronze, and shimmery green- Not sure the name of the colors, but I will update this with the names. I love these little guys, they are cheap, and easy to use. The white one is great to use on your water line, a great dupe for Nyx stick in milk.

I got mine from 5 below on sale

This is the Kat Von D Foundation in 42, I have been OBSESSED with this foundation! It has a huge variety of shades, and the packaging is gorgeous and functional. The pump is convenient and hygienic! The formula is creamy, which is easy to blend, but dries with a matt powder finish which I love for my oily skin type!

I bought mine from Sephora for $35
This is Neutrogena's oil-free Moisturizer Face lotion...I love this so much. I have tried a lot of face lotions and they usually dry me out, irritate my skin, or make me brake out! This however, makes my face as soft as a babies' bum! Its light, not greasy, and best of all not scented and great for sensitive skin!

Mine was from Bed Bath and Beyond!
This is Hard Candies' Glamoflauge Concealer in light. I have used this for a while, but really thought it needed to be mentioned! It literally covers all of my blemishes and doesn't look cakey at all! This little tube was a savior for me and my spotty skin!

I got this one from Walmart
Mallomars, these things are just freakin delicious! Cookie+ chocolate+ marshmallow= Mouth Orgasm! Sooooo Good!

-Market Basket

Dove Oil Detangler! This saved my severely tangled up hair! It didn't make my hair look oily, but sure did loosen up all the knots I had and make my hair shiny, smell good, and look healthier! I love this stuff, I just shake it up and apply on the damp ends of my hair When I get out of the shower!

This is from Target

This is the Buxom Lip Plumper by Bare Minerals. I got mine in Purple Haze, and it is so pretty! The shade is tinted purple, but not opaque so you don't look nuts or anything! On top of all this good stuff, it hella' plums your lips.

I got mine from Sephora $19

This has been my favorite ever nail polish lately! It is Revlon Flirt. I saw this on Jaclynhill1 from Youtube, and ran out and picked it up! It is such a cute spring shade.

I got mine from Bed Bath and Beyond

This is my favorite Yankee Candle, it is in Leather and absolutely smells wonderful! Actually some people hate it lol but I think it smells amazing!!! Like a galloping cowboy hunk, it smells exactly like leather and will make your home smell fancy and kind of sensual.

I bought it from a Yankee Candle Store

This is My favorite Youtube Beauty Guru Lately: Heidi Cupcake
-She's amazing and very unique, so check her out!

This is my favorite song this month, Pink is amazing, and I love how realistic the lyrics are in this song to a relationship. Also the man with the tattoos on the bed is a total 10. "Just Give Me A Reason"

Makeup for green eyes

                    Makeup For Green Eyes:

Found some some makeup looks on the web, this looks make green eyes pop! I will be trying some of these, and will post the results! Wish me good luck! -Love your green eyed girl :)

Okay so..this one's a little over the top, but purple and green go together SO well, no wonder purple eye shadow looks so amazing on green eyes!

I like this look for the two tone quality! Green on top, and purple on bottom, sounds good to me!

Love this look, reminds me of the mermaids from Pirates of the Caribbean. Not sure where I would wear this, but I'll find a way! :0

Finally, the cranberry look! The use of red toned eyeshadows is very in right now, and look lovely next to a green eye! The red/pink colored eye shadows, make green eyes pop the best, even compared to the purple eyeshadow look! Must try this.

Here, is a step by step look tutorial I from MakeupDesignory on YouTube:

How the celebs do up their green eyes:
